Our Beliefs
We are a local congregation that is part of the world-wide Church of the Nazarene, a Christian church tracing its roots to an anniversary date of 1908, and today, the Church of the Nazarene is located in 156 world areas. The Church of the Nazarene is a Great Commission church, which means to make Christlike disciples (followers of Jesus) in the nations.
We believe that God offers to everyone hope, peace, joy, love, forgiveness, meaning in life, and the promise of heaven when life is over by entering and experiencing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
We are called to take this message to people everywhere.

The Bible
At Carrick Nazarene, we believe the Bible is the fully inspired and infallible Word of God – the supreme and final authority in all matters of life and faith.
We believe in the power of God’s Word to transform every part of our lives. The Scripture brings wisdom and guidance, truth and instruction, and reveals who Jesus is and how to know Him personally.
For these reasons, we love to teach from this life giving book every Sunday in a way that is engaging, relevant and accessible to all. Our prayer is that as we apply God’s Word to our lives, we would become the people Christ has called us to be in our families, workplaces and community.

ONE GOD
We believe in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
OLD AND NEW
We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
FALLEN NATURE
We believe that human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.
ETERNALLY LOST
We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
ATONEMENT THROUGH JESUS
We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
SANCTIFIED
We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
NEW BIRTH
We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
FINAL JUDGEMENT
We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
